HOW TO launch a SHiFT-enabled title I CANT REDEEM SHIFT CODE
How are you trying to enable SHIFT codes at the moment? It's pretty simple but if it's your first time, it can take awhile before getting the hang of it. When you start the game online, it'll try to authenticate (contact Gearbox' servers) without your doing anything. Are you offline (cos that would cause the problem you're describing)? If so, try switching to online and logging in again - that should solve this problem.

OR, maybe (I don't know, devil's advocate) the caps lock was on the entire time and using shift to capitalize the first character resulted in a lower case character and was typing in a hurry thus missing the error?
